Damp - The Causes....

Dampframe

Water is the single most damaging cause of structural decay, but can be effectively treated. Damp enters the property via a capliliary action from the ground and introduces hygroscopic salts causing the 'bubbling' of paint and plaster.

Damp-proofing is generally not used by the majority of Turkish builders due to it's higher cost. Or if it is used, it is not very effective as the bituminous sheet starts to become brittle in higher temperatures and, in as little as 2 years, can start to crack and break down and allow the ingress of moisture. Dolphinframe

Previous methods of trying to control the problem have included taking off the affected plaster and using a 'brush-on isolation' before replastering. This method may cover the problem for up to 12 months, but then the process has to be done again, along with the associated repaiting and decorating.

We can provide an effective, one-time solution to your damp problem whether it be rising damp in walls or moisture ingress to a basement or cellar.
