Frequently asked questions....

  • How do I contact you to arrange a survey on my property?

Please fill in the simple form on our 'Contact Us' page or email carl@bodrumdampguard.co.uk or call us on +90 (0)539 968 9140 and we will be happy to arrange a convenient time.

  • Can you give me an approximate cost over the telephone?

No, we will need to see your property and carry out a full survey to determine the best and most cost effective solution for your particular damp problem, as each property is individual.

  • Can you survey my property whilst I am in the UK?

Yes, we will be happy to meet with your keyholder or pick up keys from your management company or keyholder.

  • Can you carry out works whilst I am in the UK?

Yes, it may be easier to carry out works whilst the property is unoccupied for the minimum of disruption. Our technicians are fully trained and work to high standards. However if you would like to be present whilst work is being carried out, then that is fine, but please bear in mind that if the works require the removal of bathroom or kitchen fittings then you may wish not to stay in your property.

  • Will the works make a mess?

We make every effort to ensure that minimum disruption is caused. We may have to remove affected plaster or render internally or externally, but any furniture will be removed from the areas to be treated and covered, as will the floors, whilst work is taking place and all rubbish is removed from site ethically and safely.

  • Will you be able to tell that I have had my property damp-proofed?

No, any new plaster or render work applied is feathered in by an experienced plasterer making it almost impossible to detect after redecoration.

  • Do you provide a guarantee?

Yes, all our damp-proofing injection work is guaranteed and should you sell your property in the meantime, the guarantee can be transferred to the new owner.

  • How do you accept payment?

We ask for 50% of the total cost at comencement of works and 50% at completion of the works. Many people choose to pay via a bank transfer or draft.
